Hello citizens of Paixao and those in between worlds. I am Marcus Praetoris, and I have decided, rather last minute, to submit my name for the upcoming elections. I came to this decision when I sat outside my home and took a look at those moving through the streets. I found that I was troubled by how our city has grown and changed so extraordinary as time has gone on, and we have shifted far from our customs because of our lack of leadership.

This is wrong.

With this election, I believe that it’s time we return to the traditions that we know to be true in our hearts. Please, my citizens, stand by me so that we may reclaim our city and nourish it back to its proper standing.

Paixao! How good to speak with you again, it's been awhile, has it not? Everyone keeping busy? Exploring new territories? Looking for lost little girls that they happened to misplace so easily?

Boy, you lot are terrible at keepin' track of one another, eh? I means sheesh, you apparently are always complaining about the Organization kidnapping your dearest friends, but I think you just make it simple enough that they can't help otherwise!

Let's see now... who do we have here... Auron, of course. The father figure... Belle, Jecht, NiGHTS, Riku, and a boatload of other people keeping a look-out for - really, an insignificant (though fierce, I admit) - mortal.

So, I'm hoping you all might be able to help me out. I'm looking for something, however it isn't a person, as some of you might be rather used to seeing on here. What I'm after is a bit different, you see.

I'm searching for knowledge. Information as it were.

I want you all to tell me everything. Everything and anything you've noticed about Paixao. Now, I don't mean the information the welcoming committee always relays, I've heard most of that now, although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of a repeat, but that's not really the point of this. What I'm really after is anything that seemed strange, or just a bit out of the ordinary. Even the most insignificant detail that you thought was odd, but just shrugged it off as being a figment of your imagination or nothing important. Because, you see, it could be important! Any little speck of a clue could mean something!

Now, I know what you're all thinking. Why do I want this information, right?

Because, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't particularly like being stuck in one place for too long. I have places to be, things to do and all that! There's quite the mystery about this place and I intend to solve it, so I can be on my way. Come on then, I know what you're thinking now. How does this lone man intend to figure out what's going on? Why does he think he can figure out what no one else has yet? That's what you're thinking, isn't it? Well, that's easy: It's because if there's anyone who can solve this, I can.

So, allons-- Oh! Wait! Almost forgot... I didn't introduce myself. Sorry about that. Bit rude of me. Got a bad habit of doing that. My name's the Doctor.

Well. There certainly seems to a be a lot of antagonism in this place. I wonder how many people there are who aren't quite so deliberately antagonizing? I for one have had quite enough of our little ten of clubs, who would say the same?

I demand to meet with your leaders. It may be well and good to detain commoners as long as you may, but I'll have you know that royalty is to be given expedient privilege in matters falling within the course of returning home.
As well as other matters such as; eating times, housing arrangements, vacations, finance and everything.

So to summarize, once again, I must demand that I be sent home at the soonest possible moment.

About these... "Palazzo Townhomes..."

I don't remember authorizing this.  I don't remember there being any ceremony where I got to cut any ribbons.  I don't remember even being notified.

I demand compensation and rent!

Citizens and visitors of Paixao - more specifically, to our visitors:

It saddens me that I must begin this notice with an apology. I have noticed the abrupt influx of visitors to our streets, and to all of you that have just arrived: Welcome to our fair city! I am only sorry that you have arrived here during a troubled time.

It is my duty as Mayor to warn you of the strange maladies that have befallen many of us of late - many of the visitors and citizens alike have fallen ill, including even myself. It seems to affect everyone in different ways, so be cautious. Our authorities are investigating the matter, but we cannot at this point rule out foul play, nor have we yet discovered the source from which all this originated. If anyone has any information on the subject, please report it to myself or the police immediately! I hope that by working together we can get to the bottom of this once and for all.

That said, I wish, again, to welcome all the newcomers to our city. While we are not currently sure how it is that you were brought here, please know that our scientists are working diligently on the development of transportation back to your respective homes, and have been making great strides in the area.

In the meantime, if you are in need of lodging, the Actua Are Hotels, Haja o Que Houver, Iriela Apartments, O Pastor Hotel, and Villas Salonas have all agreed to provide significant discounts to foreign refugees. The Palazzo Townhomes and Vocea Condominiums have also informed me they are accepting new tenants.

I hope, despite the difficult times upon us all, that we may have this all resolved in the near future. Thank you all for your patience.
