I assume that most of you have seen the new information that's come to light. I'm not sure when this started, or exactly why this started, but one thing is inescapably clear: this all needs to stop. All of this. The experiments, the disappearances, the arrests. All of it. And we need to stop it ourselves. I'm sure some of you already know what I'm going to suggest, and some of you might already be ready to suggest it yourselves. Maybe some of you did, before I got here.

We need to stand together. We need to be strong enough and brave enough to weather the storm that's ahead of us. The longer we stand idle, the longer this goes on, and the more people get hurt - and I, for one, am not willing to let this slide. I have information about the thing attacking the city.  It is something from my world, Spira.  We called it Sin.

Sin is an armor made of the souls of the dead, bound together by gravity magic, protecting the one within.  The man behind it is Seymour Guado, a former maester of Spira.  It would be best not to attempt to reason with him.  He believes that death relieves all suffering and will not hesitate to kill you on sight.

The smaller beings in the city are Sinspawn.  They are as ruthless as the thing that spawned them and only think of death.  Dispatch as many as you can as Sin always returns for its spawn.

As for Sin itself, you would do best to avoid encounters with it unless you are fully prepared.  The only way to defeat it is to defeat its creator, and even then the man needs to be sent to keep the armor from reforming.  Do not use any summons, as the summon will become the core of the next Sin.

So, I'm hoping you all might be able to help me out. I'm looking for something, however it isn't a person, as some of you might be rather used to seeing on here. What I'm after is a bit different, you see.

I'm searching for knowledge. Information as it were.

I want you all to tell me everything. Everything and anything you've noticed about Paixao. Now, I don't mean the information the welcoming committee always relays, I've heard most of that now, although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a bit of a repeat, but that's not really the point of this. What I'm really after is anything that seemed strange, or just a bit out of the ordinary. Even the most insignificant detail that you thought was odd, but just shrugged it off as being a figment of your imagination or nothing important. Because, you see, it could be important! Any little speck of a clue could mean something!

Now, I know what you're all thinking. Why do I want this information, right?

Because, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't particularly like being stuck in one place for too long. I have places to be, things to do and all that! There's quite the mystery about this place and I intend to solve it, so I can be on my way. Come on then, I know what you're thinking now. How does this lone man intend to figure out what's going on? Despite the recent string of unfortunate events, please let me assure you that Paixao is a peaceful place. Our citizens are making every accomodation possible for you, our guests. Apartments are being emptied, and soon you will be allowed to apply for them. We are making further expansions to our schools so that all of those eligible can attend.

Paixao is a land of tradition, however. It is hard to believe that we are almost upon our centennial year. Our founders did not expect much when they set foot on this island, expecting only to live in isolationist peace. But we have had our highs and lows, our periods of economic growth and bustling trade, and it is due to all this that Paixao is what it is today, and can accomplish all these things. We must never forget that.

Therefore, it is my pleasure as mayor to invite you to our 95th Annual Foundation Day Festival. Admission, food, games and entertainment are complimentary, and catering will be generously provided by the Ersesat Company. However, because of this, I must ask everyone who plans to be there to RSVP in this post, so that our caterers will know how much food to prepare.

Though most of the fair is free of charge to everyone, this year we will also be holding a paid raffle, to help raise funding for our research into offworld transportation. The winner will receive his or her choice of prizes, the nature of which will be given in more detail at the event itself.

As I was saying. This is your one and only, absolutely sensational, greatly praised and adored moderator: ME! It's been awhile since I've, ha ha, blessed you all with my presence. Unlike that other Mook, the so called 'Mayor', I've been keeping collecting information on the current cases of missing citizens and other events while he was probably off on a vacation.

You know... I could really go for one of those 'bout now. Spend a day out in the sun, just soakin' it in... This stuff is way tougher then I thought it'd be. -EH! Not that I'm havin' any regrets or anythin'! I'm on top of things, totally know what I'm doin'. I don't need no vacation to stay my best!

*ahem* SO! Let's get back to business, shall we? We still have many missing and kidnapped citizens. You should be keeping an eye out for any of the listed and report any information you might have on the kidnappings or missing cases to me personally.

It's official that the organization is behind these kidnappings. Also be on the watch for them. Do not trust them. Do not speak with them. It's for your own safety. These are the same 'people' who have our eight kidnapped victims locked away and are hurting them. They are best identified for their black coats. Any further information on them will be accepted.
