[An energetic, youthful voice crackles on the message board, broadcasting to anyone who'll listen. It sounds rather annoyed, though that quickly changes to enthusiastic amusement]

Alright, when’s this? This isn’t where I set the coordinates. The air smells… off. It’s an artificial world, isn’t it? Ah-hah, so that’s it. Right, then. I'm the Doctor; what seems to be the problem here? And don’t tell me there isn’t; I know trouble when I see it, and this is definitely troublesome. No, not the end of the uni – ah, maybe. But that’s alright, I’ve done this before, I’ll do it again. It’s the universe; something’s got to happen. So, then, what is it? Is there despair? Danger? Is the tea getting cold? Blimey, I hate it when that happens.

I can reset the TARDIS coordinates to five minutes past Amelia later. This is brilliant! New-old world where something’s not quite right; classic.

[The black and white version of the Doctor sounded enthusiastic and cheery some of the time, to what Jake could remember...

His response sounds fairly calm. Sarcasm for him apparently not present.]

'Least there's one person that doesn't seem to mind being stuck here.

[Just not him.] My family and friends are most likely wondering where I am. On most days, I wouldn't mind having time off from school. But after hearing about this Organization and being told over and over about there being no exit, it's hard not to feel worried.

[The longer I stay here, they more they'd lose it in resisting those creeps without me, he keeps to himself.]

This whole time-space traveling stuff is new to me. [A lie, because he's got his reasons. The Doctor no doubt would have liked to hear about Sario Rips. Jake knows this.]

Oh, I'm sure there is. If we got in, then there has to be. [By then, I can only hope it's not too late, he keeps to himself.]

Sure seems that way...

Have you been affected by the fog yet, Doctor?

[Adds so he doesn't have suspicion arise from the Time Lord. He'd rather stay below radar for as long as he can until further notice.] What's your profession, if you don't mind my asking?

It's a thick fog that tends to drive people crazy. Make them hallucinate. I've been affected but met a blind person who helped me snap out of it.

There's not much to know about it other than that. At least not yet...

[Can't suppress the amused little grin on his face as the amusement will come out through his voice.] Strictly confidential, in other words I'm guessing.

If I get the chance to later, I might start searching for the cause too. It could be any number of things.

Does "stuff" include nearly everything? Do you even get a decent night's rest after a long day on the job? [He had a good quip in mind but it slipped away, out of reach. Marco's better with the one-lined zingers anyway.]

Well--this one guy said something about a Halloweentown. It's somewhere to start, at least.

[A light laugh, genuine enough.] No, I'm not affiliated with anything. I was just curious, that's all. My name is Jake, by the way.

[If he just got here, then he can't be one of them, right? Still, best to keep that big secret from a public place online.]
