Imagine my surprise wakin' up here in hallucination land to stand in line for a fuckin' computer. Or was it to get in? Fuck if I know, I was hopin' the map on this thing had an exit. According to the one person I've run into so far with personality, there ain't one.

So, since I gotta wait for these status effects to wear off where is a guy to go for an imaginary stiff drink? And do I need money, or do you use leaves here? I noticed they were in short supply, what with the fake trees and shit.

As far as I can tell, that's correct. I haven't been to any of the other floors yet, but I've heard rumors of something like other worlds on them.

Well, I meant the other people in the city. Ain't ready to wrap my head around worlds within a castle just yet.

Anyone who's not a citizen is from another world. We're easy enough to tell apart from the rest.

About other worlds existin' and shit. And here I figured we were all alone on our little rock. Well, 'cept for the moon but monsters ain't really intelligent.

Monsters on the moon? Oh, well. I've heard stranger things. And I wasn't terribly surprised to find out about other worlds existing.

No? Dunno, can't say I ever really thought about it. Seemed kinda impossible to find out one way or another.

The list of things that seem impossible seems to be getting narrower.

Kinda figured that, what with the being captured and held prisoner part of this little vacation we're on. Speaking of, what the hell do you people do here, anyway? Just... wait around, or what?

Right now, we're trying to work our way up this castle, as far as I can see. But it's not easy getting past the guards, and they've started to arrest people who try.

Guards huh? And they got a jail here?

Not from what I've seen of the city so far. I wonder if they're taking those they arrest somewhere hidden.

I don't know for certain. Wherever the prison is, they definitely don't want us to find it.

Well, yeah, otherwise there'd be a prison break every afternoon after lunch.

You must have little faith in the prison guards, wherever they are.

I've met a good number of prison guards in my life. Generally, they're idiots.

Perhaps the ones in here are not as idiotic as the ones you've met. I've met plenty of capable people in this city, but no one yet seems to know where any of that sort of thing is.

See, that's the bigger problem. Where the hell is this place, and how the hell do we get back out?

We climb to the top floor, and fight our way out.
