Citizens of Paixao, it's been a difficult time here, I know. Through it all, one person has been with you. One person has been there through the hard times, the good times and everything in between. One person has gone out of their way to keep you informed and in good hands.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to take this time to officially announce that I'm dropping out of Paixao's mayoral race and supporting that singular person of questionable moral compass but undeniable cunning:

Timon for Mayor!

I know what you're thinking. Sure, he's short and he's got a mouth that won't quit, but he's been around longer than most of us. He knows the game, friends, and I'm willing to put my money on the experienced horse. And if you're worried he won't have the walk to back up his talk, don't stress: I'll personally offer my services to keep him in line and the rest of you protected.

Whether he likes it or not.

Weirder things have happened.

If Timon ends up winning this election, it'll be because people want him to be mayor, simple as that. Just because there's trouble in paradise between you two doesn't mean he won't deserve it.

This has nothing to do with that! He doesn't know the first thing about actually ruling. Public speaking is about ALL he's good at.

See, that's an interesting word you used there, little prince. "Ruling."

Being a mayor doesn't mean you rule from on high. It means listening to and fighting for the needs of the people, working with them instead of commanding them from a throne room. This is a democratic process and public speaking is half of the job.

Timon isn't perfect. Anyone with a brain could see that. But he has something no one else running does: experience.

If you don't like it, just run for mayor yourself.

Whatever. You don't know him like I do. His idea of being mayor involves people doing what he wants. He doesn't understand at all the responsibilities and work involved in it. At all.

Maybe he should win, just so I can say 'I told you so,' later.

How compassionate you are, caring so much for the people like this.

One of these days, you'll realize something important about Timon. And I hope I'm there to see it.
