I assume that most of you have seen the new information that's come to light. I'm not sure when this started, or exactly why this started, but one thing is inescapably clear: this all needs to stop. All of this. The experiments, the disappearances, the arrests. All of it. And we need to stop it ourselves. I'm sure some of you already know what I'm going to suggest, and some of you might already be ready to suggest it yourselves. Maybe some of you did, before I got here.

We need to stand together. We need to be strong enough and brave enough to weather the storm that's ahead of us. The longer we stand idle, the longer this goes on, and the more people get hurt - and I, for one, am not willing to let this slide. We have to gather together, and I think you all know exactly what I'm talking about.

Oh, I'm angry. I've never done that before, not as this me. I honestly have no idea what I'm going to do now, or what's going to happen. [a shaky laugh emerges]

Anyway, who's with me? We can have meetings and get into group hugs and everything. [despite the lightness of his words, it's clear he's deadly serious about gathering an army, even though he - barely - refrains from saying it]

Well, I'm also thinking Maleficent might be responsible. Haven't heard anything out of her, yet, and that worries me.

Unfortunately she's the kind you ain't gonna find unless she wants you to find her. I get the feeling no one else has been able to get into city hall either, huh?

Not from what I've heard, no. Tell me, what's she done so far?

Since she showed up with those two jerks Jafar and Hades she took over the mayors office and surrounded the place with thorns so no one could get in. Then she somehow cast this 'eternal darkness' on the city. There were Heartless everywhere. And the darkness, it was so thick folks couldn't see nothin' in front of them.

Jafar and Hades are here? Blimey, we're in trouble.

Right, so darkness and Heartless. It sounds an awful lot like she's waiting.

Well, I don't know about Jafar anymore but Hades certainly is.

Of course she's waiting. What else could she be doin' up there, knittin' a sweater?
