...I was just starting to wonder about Osaka.

She's in the same building as me, I checked to see if she was in her apartment, but she wasn't there.

My friend Marco might have disappeared, to which is a little frustrating. [Frustrating. Right. An understatement that may be, but that's the only word that manages to come out to describe how he feels.]

Grrrf, you're telling me, first Zuko, now Lottie and Osaka! They better be alright or I'll... I don't know, but they better be OK!

I remember talking to Osaka a couple of times over these things. She's a really nice person.

Here's hoping she hasn't appeared on any of those dangerous floors all by herself. [And he does indeed sound concerned there.] What does Lottie look like? I'm out and about looking for Marco, so if I see either of them I'll let you know.

[Understandable if his memory's a little foggy. The two Animorphs were busy over packing supplies and preparing for a long journey ahead--so it's been a while since Jake last heard from Wolf.] Thanks... That means a lot.

[He proceeds to say why] I just came back from one of the floors--something brought me elsewhere without warning. Marco was left behind, I guess. [He's mostly hoping that Marco's not on any of the other floors.]

I'm sure that soon he will know I'm okay now. I got out alive.

Well I'm glad to hear that, a lot of these floors are rather dangerous.

[Nervously;] Yeah, no doubt.

...Ever been to the blue forest one? Man, there's some really bizarre things that shouldn't exist--and really big, territorial wasps. [Seeing those wasps was close to the same level of grossness as it is gross turning into bugs.]

I heard about it, but I haven't been there yet. I probably should take a group with me if I ever plan on it though.

My friend Toph and this guy Soma had 'warped' in there with me. I wouldn't have won against that three headed thing all by myself.

Three headed? Cripes, that sounds like a nasty monster!

You have no idea... It was really big, and could hurl fireballs too. If I had been by myself, I'd be big cat barbeque!

Not really. It was something out of a mad scientist's creation. Part Minotaur, part lion, and part bird all built into one beast.

The fire came from one of its paws. Also, electricity came out of the snake head's mouth. The head and body of a snake was its tail.

Well that's pleasant.

Next thing you know we'll have giant unicorn-octopus-sharks as monsters.

There's also these swiveling glassy orbs that float in the air splash waves of water at you. Those things are really bizarre--and surprisingly easy to take down. I leaped and used a lot of my own body weight so they'd break apart.

... [Light, nervous laughter.] Normally I'd say that would be a slim chance, but Paixao is Paixao. And just about anything goes.

Grrrrf, That is weird, sounds like some kind of magical creatures. That I'm sure of.

I hope I can just avoid going back there, on the way to the top floor.

I'm going to look around some more to see if our friends are really gone or not before taking a rest. It's been a long, hard day.

Grrf, Well I'm sure they know better not to go there. I mean we went there specifically to seek out Scar. Something tells me neither Osaka or Lottie are the types to do that sorta thing.
