Hello citizens of Paixao and those in between worlds. I am Marcus Praetoris, and I have decided, rather last minute, to submit my name for the upcoming elections. I came to this decision when I sat outside my home and took a look at those moving through the streets. I found that I was troubled by how our city has grown and changed so extraordinary as time has gone on, and we have shifted far from our customs because of our lack of leadership.

This is wrong.

With this election, I believe that it’s time we return to the traditions that we know to be true in our hearts. Please, my citizens, stand by me so that we may reclaim our city and nourish it back to its proper standing.

Well, here's another one! I don't trust someone who just comes out of the blue and starts slinging buzzwords like "tradition" and "conformity." And I know I won't be in the minority on that!

Then you do not respect the ways of our people?

I think any civilization that wants to succeed as a culture needs to hold on to the traditions of the past while looking toward the future. Change and tradition aren't mutually exclusive, after all.

A real leader would seek the council of representatives of both.

We can move forward and become what we once were - these are both ideals.

And how do you plan on moving forward? You can't make the visitors conform.

Society needs to be nurtured.

We do what we can, as always.

It seems like you're judging all of us based on the actions of a few. Actions which, I'll remind you, affects all of us, not just the natives.
