I've only been a guest in Paixao for a short while, but I'm interested in learning more about it.

Suffice it to say, I was wondering if anyone could assist me in better understanding the city's history, government and commerce. I'd rather consult various sources - both locals and visitors, if possible - so that I can gain a broader understanding and an unbiased view of this place.

...you know, I'm not sure there's much to be said about the history of this place. It looks old, sure, but I can't shake the feeling it isn't nearly as old as it seems.

As for commerce, Paixao seems entirely independent of any real financial needs. I mean, sure, there are prices for things and you need some kind of money to get things, but it's all so relaxed. And where are the shopkeepers getting their import?

You may find yourself with more questions than answers.

There's no sense in getting into politics here. Trust me, you're not missing much. All you need to know is that soon I'll be the one running this place.

I don't think I've been here long enough to see, but there is a library here you can look in. I haven't found a lot that's relevant to Paixao yet, though.

I think Urd is right though--you wouldn't think a city like this could exist without some kind of imports or exports, and there aren't any farms around, but I've never seen any carts or things around the gates.
