I am aware that while I was on a short trip, my secretary has used my journal, but still was unsuccessful in preventing the outburst of a post such as this. Please, feel free to read such a post, on contrary to what my secretary has written. However I would like to note with what kind of ignorance and desperate individuals those who do take the post must be. Certainly, I myself would not want a mayor who wishes for a pampering and knows little about the works of the city-- much less acquainted with the security around here, may I add.

I will not tolerate individuals barging in and out of Paixao, claiming to be the new mayor. Things are as chaotic as they are with recent events and it would be best for everyone if such outbursts did not occur in the future.

Ah, the talking rat that everyone has gotten so upset about lately. I had wondered if you would comment to this.

For starters, I would prefer that you use my full and proper name. Sephiroth. I do not know you well enough for anything else to be proper.

Secondly, as you are currently not in any position of real power and as such have no access to the information I require (which, although he denies it, I believe the mayor does), your views on the situation, while interesting, are irrelevant.

And your 'friend' Laharl is rather uniquely qualified, from what I have seen, though I reserve the right to my own opinion as to any individual's effectiveness in battle until I have seen them fight. My appologies to you if you read this, Laharl, but I hold the same standards for everyone.

Actually, I believe it is a rather important. The one who is, would be the one my office and I would become much more interested in. But I'm sure Laharl wouldn't fight for the sake of getting my attention, although perhaps Mr. Sephiroth would.

I can assure you that I would not compete for such a position as a matter of sport. Unlike some, battle holds no real joy for me.

I see. If your demons are in any way similar to the creatures of my home world, then at very least I could consider you a contemporary. I see no reason for the two of us to be antagonistic toward one another; for efficiency's sake, I would suggest at very least a working truce, if not a partnership of arms, a sort of agreement to hold each other's back should the situation arise.

As for your prospects for becoming mayor when there are individuals around of much higher caliber, I sincerely doubt it.

And top secret? You can't even begin to understand the concept of what would constitute a top secret piece of information. For you, it probably amounts to something like where is the best watering hole or where can you find the best food. There are more important things when it comes to the infrastructure of a place like this.
