From this point forward, at not time to anyone in writing or speaking are you to mention that Sephiroth killed my father. I do not want that to be public knowledge to anyone beyond our group. Consider this an official order. Am I understood?

[identity profile] zo-to.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Understood, sir.

Am I to assume that Sephiroth comes from a time previous to that happening, yo?

[identity profile] zo-to.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be pay attention when you are then, yo.

That shouldn't be too hard, yo. Since, you know, you are you and all Boss. ... if he thinks that they're experiments gone wrong, there's a possibility he might side with us on the Kadaj matter, yo. We just have to leave out the whole... goin' crazy, Meteor, all that jazz.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... I can assure you there will be no word said about the matter to any of the people of Paixao on the subject, sir.

Does the mention of Sephiroth in particular have anything to do with your gaining knowledge of his presence here?

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Sensible. Surprisingly so.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Merely an opinion, of course.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Then I won't say it, sir, if you would prefer.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Pardon me? Blood? Wounded? Were you intending on informing me of this? I'm afraid this is the exact problem, sir.

You're not being as careful with your identity and your position as you ought to be. You have enemies here.

Also, it is the current assignment of the Turks as a whole, myself being personally responsible as the most senior member, to ensure your safety. If I am personally responsible, I would prefer it if you allowed me to do my job by not continually attempting to organise putting yourself in harm's way.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
By whom?

That's the point. You are insisting on continuing to converse and associate with him, whether you decide to meet with him or not, and through this putting yourself in danger. You must recall that if he comes to harm you, we will not be able to incapacitate him. You must take the required precautions, and you aren't doing this at the present time.

I must advise you to do so, or I will not be able to continue to follow your orders in their entirety.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I see.

We are assigned to protect you. You are not here to protect us. We are trained professionals, and you are not.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I would have you realise that I am not attempting to be insubordinate and am instead trying my best to guide you in this matter.

I would also have you perform your role, which is the President of Shin-Ra. You are not a Turk, and have no need to meet with people such as Kadaj. We, meanwhile, are the workforce, and we are trained for defeat as well as victory.

Trust me a little, Rufus, and take a step back. I do remember how to do my job, even if we are in a new place.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I appreciate your consideration, sir.

[identity profile] dark-turk.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You may already be too late.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you explained things to him already, then?

[identity profile] dark-turk.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe I have, maybe I haven't.

I would like to propose a deal. I won't tell Sephiroth about his future, and you leave Kadaj to me?

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
... What makes you think you're better equipped to deal with him than we are?

[identity profile] dark-turk.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe you forget who helped to stop Sephiroth the first time?

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Key word being 'helped'. There are, after all, more of us.

If you'd like to offer us your assistance, perhaps that is something we could discuss. Otherwise, I'm afraid it is likely we'll decline your offer.

[identity profile] dark-turk.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe then I will have to tell Sephiroth.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Now, is there any real reason to attempt to hold us to ransom? It's not as if you are a particular enemy of ours at the present time.

If you tell me why you would wish to deal with Kadaj alone, perhaps negotiation would be simpler.

[identity profile] dark-turk.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not wish to have to do this, I simply owe it to Strife to kill Kadaj.

[identity profile] travailleux.livejournal.com 2006-10-13 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't have the time nor the energy to deal with promises or one person owing another in a way that is at a counterpoint to my orders.

Either tell him, or do not tell him. It's your choice. Bear in mind, though, that informing him of his future may be dangerous for this entire place, not just the President.
