The woman who gave birth to you was a part of something called the Jenova Project-- a project put forth by ShinRa's science department to create the ultimate SOLDIER. They injected cells gathered from a being discovered in the Northern Crater into a pregnant woman and you were the result. ... This all sounds quite unbelievable, doesn't it? It's real, though. I'm proof enough of that. So are you.
