To Org. XIII and City Hall

If at all possible, I would like to arrange a meeting with representatives of both the group in City Hall and the Organization, at a mutually agreed upon location and time. In the interest of peace, I will come unarmed and alone, though I make no such request of either the Organization or City Hall.

The purpose of the proposed meeting will be to ascertain the intents of all parties and, if appropriate, negotiate terms of mutual armistice. At the present time, I see no reason why we cannot enjoy a peaceful coexistence.

Yes. It surprises me how often people immediately resort to violence when another solution might become evident if they simply stopped to talk things out.

But I've dealt with them before. They're don't really seem willing to talk things out.

Better to try and fail, I think, than to leave a peaceful option unexplored.
