[The angry voice cuts out to static for a while. It sounds like someone's having trouble with this newfangled technology. If you keep listening, the voice comes back.]

[More fumbling sounds. Someone, please help this poor man.]

Forget this! It'll be easier just to find someone.

[Sounds can still be picked up. Roy hasn't figured out how to properly turn off the recording.]

On something like this, a light usually means it's recording. Are you having trouble with the device itself or some other function?

I'm having trouble figuring out how this thing works at all. I didn't know machines like this were possible.

I don't know about that. Though I can't say how efficient these journals are, it's better to have something to use for communication than nothing at all, though I'd much rather just have a telephone.
