Attention Knights, Warriors, Fighters, Ect.

I am seeking some form of training for combat. Recent events have made me realize how insufficient I am on the field of battle. I would really prefer not to be a liability, or at the very least, not hold people back.

To this end, I'm hoping there is someone experienced in fighting who can teach me some self-defense. I'm not sure what kind of combat I'd be most suited for, since I am so inexperienced in such things, but I'm willing to do whatever is deemed necessary.

I would pay for these training sessions, of course.

[There's a long silence before anyone speaks; presumably because Prince is having trouble working the device. When he finally does, he sounds genuinely impressed] Belle. Your goal is admirable. In a place as dangerous as this, some proficiency in combat is mandatory unless you have a protector.

[There is a pause, and Prince's voice becomes more detached.]

I can help in this regard, if you have no objections. Payment, however, is quite unnecessary. What weaponry do you have, if any? I would be quite willing to teach you the bow, although I am not quite as good an archer as a swordsman.

[She sounds a bit embarassed, flustered at the praise and unsure of how to react] Oh...thank you. Um...

I've no weapons, unfortunately. I've never used anything more dangerous than an axe to chop wood...though I wouldn't be opposed to sword training. Perhaps a light sword like a rapier? I've seen them in illustrations...

Though, really, I'll use whatever weapon you deem best.

[For some reason, the Prince sounds a little uncomfortable, here, too] Swords...are very harsh weapons. Forgive me, you do not seem to have any great physical strength, and I think you would be better suited to a bow.

Although I do not know where we can find one in Paixao. Do you know of any merchant that might sell arms?

[Some typing can be heard as Belle murmurs softly to herself before exclaiming...] Ah! The map shows a weapon shop called Folio's. Surely there's a bow there?

W-would you like to meet me there, Highness?

[There is a pause, and then the Prince adds, only half sarcastic:] If I am late, I have merely gotten lost.

I think I might be able t' help ya there.

Really? What sort of training would we do?

Depends on what you think you'd be good at, long as it's somethin' I can do.

As it turns out, I'll be accepting the help of the Prince of Persia. Thank you very much for your offer, though.

[She sounds shocked, embarassed-- apparently, she never considered Yuna would even see the entry, much less respond to it] Yuna...! You should be resting right now, really!

Actually, I kind of wish Shinra were here. He'd be able to make another songstress dressphere for you, I'm sure of it. You'd like that one.

Thank you for the offer! I've decided to employ the Prince of Persia, however...it seems he'll be able to train me in the use of a bow, which will suit me better. Or so he says.

It's very impressive that you're so skilled, however. I hope to one day be as capable and strong as you.

Keep working at it... It took me years and heartache, though I don't think the heartache comes with the territory here.

If it's self-defense you're looking for, I taught some classes back home in self-defense.
