Hello?

Hello, my name is Ico.

Why am I here? How is it I can write in this thing?

I have never written in a book before. Before I came here, I was in a fortress I could not escape. I thought I would die in it. Perhaps I am dead; Is this where dead people go? Or perhaps I am dreaming... could this is a dream brought on by the Queen? I would not put it past her to try and trick me like this.

No one knows who the Queen is when I speak of her; is everyone lying to me here? I do not know if I am able to tell. Everyone speaks so fast and they seem like they know why I'm here, but they do not tell me anything useful.

They told me that other people can read this. Is that true?

I came through here beneath two giants. I will wait near them a little while for an answer.

You're in Paixao and you're not dead or dreaming. People from all kinds of worlds get pulled in here, no one knows why but it just happens. We all speak and write the same language when we're here...or something. Don't know how.

As for those hotels, they're places you can spend the night at. And just look around you! Everything here is shiny. You could just get some leaves from the trees or some grass and they'll accept it.

Maybe you're from a different time line than her? Not only are we pulled from different worlds, sometimes we're also pulled from different points of time.

This place is safer, I think. But I am still wary. Would you like to show me around this city? I am ~~scared~~ worried about leaving Yorda alone, but if she's managed thus far without me, then maybe she will be okay, at least for a little while. And I must know everything I can about this place, if I am to feel at ease here.
