Think it's on, anyway... my name's Gourry Gabriev! I got separated from my friends, someone told me I might find 'em if I checked here? Anyone know a loud sorceress named Lina? If you've seen her, she's probably eating. Or maybe Zelgadis or Amelia! He's a scary-lookin' guy made of rock, and she's... well, she's probably standing on top of a building or a tree or something.

Unless they're not here at all... that's not possible, though, right? We usually get lost together!

Nah, not really. I mean I have encountered goddesses and genies here before. So I'm tryin' to adjust to this place than from old place where everything is normal.

This place is pretty weird, but it doesn't seem too bad so far. I'm from Elmekia, but it's been a long time since I've been back. I travel all over the place! My partner's a big-shot sorceress, she's got business that takes us everywhere! Lots of times we're being chased wherever we go, but it's not bad.

Elmekia, huh? I'm just from the USA myself. Have a lotta friends I know back home there too.

Well, my partner's a space ranger, boy he used to 'cause so much trouble for me. Good thing I kept him in check though. Totally woulda been lost without me.

Oh yea, you don't have to worry about the money thing. A lotta of money actually grows on plants around here. So you can pay with whatever using that type of cash.

[No better way to explain it, really. Things with Lina are weird and complicated, okay? The tone of his voice quickly shifts, surprised.]

Really? Oh man. She would love it here. Money grows on trees?

Yup! Bunch around here, so you should be ok with buyin' whatever ya need around here.
