[voice flicks on. she sounds pretty nervous.]

Y’know, when a girl's dragged out of her own dimension into another one, she kinda likes to be asked about it first. Or told, at least. Don't get me wrong--I'm always up for an adventure, but. Even this is kind of extensive for my tastes. And I have pretty unique tastes.

Like, this place isn't full of memories masquerading as live people, which is pretty cool, but it isn't full of chocobos or Hypello either, which makes it less cool. There is some nifty machina, like this communicator not-really-spherical thing, but... nothing else I really recognize. Not even any tall buildings like in Bevelle. [there's a frown in her voice.] But Shiva knows I really don't wanna be there right now.

Moving on.

[and now her tone changes; all the mischievousness.]

Anyways, does this place have a name? It can't not have a name, right? That'd be silly, and a place that brought the Great and Awesome Rikku here can't be silly. Because I'm totally not silly--if I'm gonna be on an adventure in another dimension, I gotta be serious and calm and stuff. Like Auron!

[she struggles to make her voice serious, but she can't keep it up, and she giggles as she reverts back to her token cheerful tone. then her voice fades to something like puzzlement.]

Hey, can anybody even hear this? [she taps the microphone, getting up close--she's a little loud, now.] Is it on right? I thought so, but just in case--

[she raises her voice, almost yelling now.] Hello? Hello! Hey, hi there, I'm Rikku! Anybody there? Answer me, okay?

[she laughs, pulling back from the microphone. the feed cuts.]

Cool! Nice to meetcha, Doctor. And yeah, they're the best. I'm really glad they're together again.

Tell me, how long have you known them?

[laughs] I don't get anything more than that?

Well, Yunie's my cousin so I've known [of] her my whole life. Tidus only for two years, though.

It can disarm people, mess around with electronics, and pull off endless pranks. And there's more, of course.

I haven't known them nearly as long, but Yuna saved my life.

Sounds like a nifty gadget. I'd like to see it.

Yeah, that seems like something she'd do--she's a really great person. Can I ask what happened?

Oh, you know. I was left somewhere to die, and along she came. She healed me and brought me back to her place. I've been staying with them ever since - well, near. I've since moved next door to them ever since my injuries healed. Still do the cooking, though.

Me, too, considering that would have been a terrible way to regenerate. I've only just gotten started, too!

Oh, right! The lifespan talk. Whenever I'm near death, everything I am changes. There's another me running around somewhere; he's my tenth regeneration. I'm the eleventh.

So uh, how long have you been here?

Oh, about three months. I've been busy, though. Lots of people have been here longer. Dunno how long the other me's been running about.

That's a long time. Do people usually not go home for a while?

People can't get back home, at least not on purpose.

... Huh. That kind of sucks.

Oh, don't worry. From what I've heard, people pop back in at the exact moment in which they left. And besides, all we've got to do is climb to the top of this place, and we're out!

Oh, and take on the Organization and Maleficent.

You're gonna have to explain to me what those last two things are.

[cheerfully, but there's a definite chill to his tone as he describes them] They're a group of people who are somehow responsible for bringing us here. They've kidnapped people and experimented on them in the past. They're obsessed with reaching Kingdom Hearts, form what I've been told.

As for Maleficent, she's an evil faerie who can turn into a dragon. Also, she's green.

And Kingdom Hearts is...?

Sheesh, this place is getting better and better by the second.

I haven't figured it out, actually. Still working on it.

It's not all bad, you know. You can catch up with Yuna and Tidus, anyway. And you can explore all the worlds we've got in here.

Yeah, I think I'd like that. And what kinda worlds are there?

Oh, lots! There's a beach, and Halloween Town. There's also Spira and some spooky place that looks like another Halloween-y place; not sure what it is, but it's nice. There are others, too, but we haven't reached them yet.
