[There's a lack of confidence in the child's voice.] Now I know I shouldn't be talkin' to strangers, but without dad here, I'm kinda stuck. [and scared.]

Can I come stay with someone? I don't even know where I am and there's all this freaky stuff going on and it's all messed up. [The nightmares are getting to her, as well as the new place and the lack of adults (that actually pay attention). She's really going to be this stupid and just ask. For once, if her dad was here, maybe he'd be able to pass as a good father and keep her out of trouble.]
