Of course I've tried leaving. I've attempted more times than fingers on both hands. The dome walls are really thick, and those people at the gates can be really stubborn. Though I heard there's nothing much outside the domes to see anyway. Bored inside or out, I guess we lose either way.

Oh, it's so dull. If you try to talk to a townsperson, your brain just about liquefies and oozes out of your ear. At least the journals are somewhat fun. I get to meet all sorts of people this way.
