[pauses. She's a little frightened by his tone, but her voice only trembles a little]

He was tall, and had skin that was almost like ash. His hair was grey. He wore glasses like yours.

[there's a sound as though Mao had started to say something, but it immediately goes silent for awhile as Mao starts to think. Almaz and Princess had come from around the same time he had. Maybe... Maybe it's actually Geoffrey X?]

...What was it that scared you? [asking this kind of question feels weird to him, but he wants... needs more information]
